I am happy to announce that I just received an e-mail from Qualcomm, that their AR SDK is available for commercial use (still FREE of charge). Now, get your iOS applications rolling at the App Store!

You can download the SKD here.

Rollback with Git

I am mostly writing this for my own reference, if I am going to need to rollback to an old commit in git again.

1) On your local repository find the commit you would like to rollback to with

git log

2) Then do a hard reset, that will delete all commits after the one you need

git reset -hard COMMITID

3) You must force the changes on the master(in my case GitHub) from the local repo, not from a clone!

git push -f origin master

Hope, this will save someone else’s time too.

Space Game Starter Kit from Ray Wenderlich

Since I am collaborating with a friend of mine, building some small game projects for iOS, I started getting into Cocos2D Framework. And on my way of learning Cocos2D, I couldn’t pass all tutorials written by Ray Wedenrlich on the topic. Today I found out that he has released a very good walk through of how to build a really awesome Space Game and bought it without hesitation.  I am already on page 30 and I really like how clean and detailed his explanations are.

Free Augmented Reality SDK from Qualcomm

ManiaDev.com just reported the release of a free augmented reality iOS SDK from Qualcomm, it has been available only for Android devices for a while now, so I am pretty happy of the news. Going to play with it the next couple of days and post some observations.

Download: https://ar.qualcomm.at/qdevnet/sdk

PS: Quick update, judging from the samples, the SKD is rockin fast on my iPhone 4!

Great way to debug your iOS application UI

I have been always struggling with setting the right size and debugging my view frames, and if you code your UI and do not use Interface Builder, you know what I mean. So today I came by this cool library – Introspect. Basically, by pressing “Space” in the iOS Simulator, you could see various properties of your views.

LIMBO

Oh man, I wish this has been released for the iPad/iPhone too, such an amazing game play and story.

It’s only available for the Xbox console for now, and you have to try it, even if you have to steal one!

InvaderCam 2.0.0 Released

Hi,
We just updated InvaderCam with a brand new version, completely rewritten from scratch. We had to do some major changes, so we could support all iDevices, because we had received a lot of complains (1 star reviews) from people trying to run InvaderCam on iPhone 3G.

The new version also let you “invade” all your already saved images and let you choose between Low and High resolution output images!

Have fun! :)

PS: Do not miss the PROMO CODES promotion on the main page!
